quite useless stuff. only have links to instructions on website. its even not include drivers, you should download and install third party driver manualy (for 360)

I think in theory this could work. Joystick Doctor says the 360 controller drivers can be downloaded from GitHub. I checked out the site, my exstenions said it was a safe site. I downloaded the driver, to complete installation I restarted my mac. Upon logging back in I checked system preferences the 360 controller icon was there. I started to notice my mac was running slow, web pages took mins to load before it was seconds. To be on the safe side I ran BitDefender Virus Scanner, its been scanning for 15 mins now and has found 60 different viruss. I would advise people to look elsewhere for 360 controller drivers, that being said I highly doubt my comments will be posted.
This is amazing. I have been trying to get an XBOX360 controller to work on my Mac for days, and I actually searched how to do so, and I found this application. I followed the instructions, and now I’m playing Super Street Fighter II Turbo on OpenEmu with a XBOX360 controller. Thank you a ton!
Great just get rid of the ads
Works great for modding controllers but dislike the ads for other apps.
Had a little trouble getting my MB Air to recognize my Xbox360 USB controller. Installed this app and after a driver install/reboot, my controller was recognized. Try it if you’re having similiar problems. Thanks Rocky Sand Studio for providing the app for free!
I’ve had some troubles connecting my Xbox controller, before I’ve found Joystick Doctor. The troubleshhoting section of the app helped me, by explaining all I needed to know, so Ive succesfully connected my gamepad. Recommend the app to a friend as well, having a Playstation controller and the app could easily got it working as well. Most of my games have been working fine! II’ve only got stuck using my gamepad with a game on Steam, but the support team has responded me super-quickly with the solution. Thanks for this wonderfull app!
Joystick Doctor is a useful sanity check if you’re trying to work out if it’s you, the controller or the game that is “doing it wrong.” It was able to recognize and respond to my SteelSeries Nimbus controller, unlike any of the games I tried it with. I’d like to see Rocky Sand Studio add an input mapping feature so I could actually use my controller with games :)

Working on a game for Unity where I needed to use a controller and this verified that everything was working with the controller so it’s something in the code. This helped out to eliminate a hardware issue.
Useless for me
My 2024 M4 mac mini won’t properly connect to my controller. This app did not do any better. It said I needed to download a utility called 360 controller from GitHub, which I did. Turns out the 360 controller utility has not had any development since 2020 and won’t run on my mac. Good thing this app was only $0.99.

This app is worse than a simple google search... All it does is provide trouble shooting "advice" that leads nowhere and is formated in the worst way imaginable... didn't solve any of my issues, and worst of all it tries to get you to download additional useless bloatware onto your computer with random pop ups. Stay clear of this app!!!

It shows my wii controller and when I click test controller it just keeps spinning then I have to force quit the app. Was really hoping this was going to work...

After running Joystick Doctor, my previously undiscoverable Logitech F310 Gamepad works perfectly!

I was trying to get my Logitech F310 connected so I could play SuperMeatBoy without much luck. I stumbled upon this app and within 2 mins of purchase I was enjoying it with my game. For the very low cost its a complete no brainner.

Just what I wanted
I have a Logitech F310. It worked like a charm!
You can test, but you can't map
Trying to get a Logitech F310 to work with a simulator. This app allowed me to see the gamepad wasn't connecting to the computer and helped me fix that. It would be nice if the app incorporated a key mapping feature. $1 is fair for the test function.
Is this a joke?
Even the one, tiny thing this app does it does poorly. The ONLY thing the app does is show you connected controllers and indicates which buttons are pushed. But the buttons are just listed as numbers, and if you have more than a few they won't even fit in the tiny, un-resizable(!) window. I think this app bumps up on the line of fraud. Will be requesting a refund.

Took the mystery out of getting my Logitech gamepad setup, worth all 99 pennies.
Not a mapper, but a good tester.
Joystick mapping has been promised in a later release. For now, 4 stars (but I'll up it to 5 once the extra promised functionality is added).
Just doesn't work
If I could give less than one star I would. The app doesn't even allow me to test my controller because it crashes before being able to do so. I'm not running an old machine either. This is a 2018 mac mini! Nothing fancy but apps shouldn't just crash!

this app is really bad dont get it because i cant connect my wii u pro controller and it tells u to download this really outaded thing called wjoy to connect your wii mote but it doesnt work at all it keeps asking for admistrators password then wjoy just crashes

Trash. Does not offer mapping basically just a test for your controller which any driver would allow you to do any way. Do not buy—huge waste of money. Could have gotten a taco at taco bell.

No Built in Drivers Included!
A waist of a buck$ Not only there are no drivers in this packager, but third party drivers and receiver needs to be downloaded. Once thats done, re-mapping cannot be done via this application!!
Should not be in app store
Does not include device driver for Wiimote. After purchasing, it advises users to install drivers that require disabling System Integrity Protection. “Easily connect Xbox Playstation and Wii controllers” in description is obvious fraud. Should not be allowed in app store.

Don’t Buy Spamware
First, if I’m giving you money. doNOT spam me with ads when your app first loads. Second, I plugged in a PS4 Dualshock via USB and it has no idea what kind of joystick it is. Third the ID numbers of the controls are wrong. The square button is 0 but this app doesn’t have a 0. It starts at 1, so the ID numbers are off by one. Nearly worthless.
No Controller Mapping
Do not waste your money if you think this app will do anything more than tell you if your controller is connected. Completely useless once downloaded it says they don’t have mapping services yet but soon. Completely useless the Mac OS already tells us if our controllers are connected, I thought this would help map controllers to help support other games. This is the fastest I’ve ever wasted $1.00 Also they have a few ads not intrusive or annoying but not worth it for what you get.
Great Solid App
Yes, there may be a couple popups at the beginning but nothings persistent. It does what it set out to do and it does it well, and for that I commend them. I would like to put out there that this does not support controller mapping (though they do mention its on their to-do list) it's mainly just a tester and guidelines on how to connect your controller. All that said it’s a great product, only a dollar, and if that's what you need then by all means you should give this a shot.

On launch, just as I was about to select the joystick I wanted to test, an invasive window popped up prompting me for my email address, and trying to cross-sell me on other apps. When I went to quit the app, I was again nagged for feedback. The app itself is adequate, if slightly buggy.
Does not work with Rock Candy Xbox One controller
Running v10.11.6. System recognizes the controller, but green light does not light up. Will there be a fix for this?

If you want to verify your SteelSeries Nimbus controller is working correctly, this utility will work just fine. I like the interface.
